Municipal Advisory Boards

According to Municipality Advisory Board (MAB), Or MBC is established to regulate Municipality Advisory Board activities, create and foster consultation about planning, budgeting and implementation of strategic programs as to promote and institutionalize citizen-centered governance and pave the ground for an effective review of municipality performance by people.

According to its procedure, Municipality Advisory Board work period is two years and work period for its leadership (deputies and secretary) is one year, who will be selected after completion of the period.

Municipality Advisory Boards are operating in 33 provinces and 45 municipalities in district level - in light of its procedure, 26 provincial municipalities are re-established for the third time and 14 district municipalities are re-established. In total, 78 there are 78 MCBs active.
