Ahmad Sayed “Faizi”, Evaluation and Analysis Advisor to Deputy Minister of Municipalities at Independent Directorate of Local Governance, an educated and open minded person, has completed studies from Afghan Institute of Technology and Poly Technic on Civil Engineering. As he was very much interested in new technologies so he had also studied Computer Science including programming, engineering, financials, office related software, hardware and networking.
Faizi started his work with Ministry of Public Works as engineer on 1988 and continued working with Presidential office as assistant director of international relation. Apart from these tasks Faizi had worked with national and international NGOs for 10 years from 1996 to 2005 as engineer, program manager, monitoring manager and regional manager. From 2005 up to 2010 he run his own construction company implementing tens of projects into different provinces of Afghanistan.
Since 2010 Faizi joined IDLG as Head of Municipal Organization. During his work with IDLG he played a vital role to promoting the Directorate of Municipal Affairs (DMA) to General Directorate of Municipal Affairs (GDMA) and now to Deputy Ministry of Municipalities (DMM).
Faizi also played a very active role in designing of a very big national priority program of Citizen Charter.
